How to Get to the Start?

The start zones for the 20th Warsaw Half Marathon will be located on the Poniatowski Bridge. The Runner’s Village, including bag drops, and the finish line will be situated at the PGE Narodowy grounds.

We will soon publish directions on how to get to the start.

Remember to plan your race day well in advance!

  • Arrive at the Village early enough! We recommend getting there at least half an hour before your start zone closes.
  • The entrance to the start zone closes 15 minutes before the respective start—check the details in the “Start Organization” section.
  • Depending on your start zone, the distance between the Village and the start zone is 1-2 km – keep this in mind when planning your morning.
  • Arrive at the Village early enough! We recommend getting there at least half an hour before your start zone closes.

Pacemakers

Every runner, regardless of their experience level, can fight for their dream finish time with the help of a Pacemaker!

A Pacemaker, often colloquially referred to as a “pacer” or “hare,” is an experienced runner whose job is to maintain a specific, steady pace throughout the entire race distance. The goal? To help other participants achieve a specific time at the finish line.

The target times our Pacers will lead in this year’s edition of the race are: 1:10, 1:12, 1:15, 1:20, 1:25, 1:30, 1:35, 1:40, 1:45, 1:50, 1:55, 2:00, 2:05, 2:10, 2:15, 2:20, 2:25, 2:30.

(Times are provided in the hour:minute format).

Pacemakers run with markings indicating their target net time—they are easily visible on the course thanks to their special flags. Look out for them in the start zone!

Time Limit and Timing

The time limit of the 20th Warsaw Half Marathon is 3 hours 30 minutes, counted from the first start signal.

Additional time limits:

at the 5 km of the course

at the 10 km mark of the course

at the 15 km mark of the course

Timing

The general classification and all additional categories are based on net times (measured from crossing the start line). The exception is the first 200 finishers, who are classified by official gross times (measured from the starter’s gun). If the first 200 finishers do not include at least 10 men and 10 women, the number will be extended to include them.

All additional classifications (age groups, industry categories) are based on net times (measured from crossing the start line).

Finish line details

Besides the medal, you’ll get:

Bag Drop

The organizer is not responsible for valuables left in the bag drop.

Changing rooms

Showers

Massages

#IRUNWELL participants can enjoy massages without waiting in line.

Race Village

The Runner’s Village is an area located near the finish line. It is the main meeting point where runners, supporters, and entire families can come together to celebrate this sports festival.

The finish lines for both races, as well as the Village itself, will be situated on the grounds of PGE Narodowy. Please familiarize yourself with the area map—check the locations of the bag drops, toilets, and other key spots.

When planning your race day, remember to factor in the walking distance from the bag drops to the start line!

In addition to the essential runner service zones, the Village will also feature our partners’ booths packed with family-friendly attractions. We invite both participants and cheering fans to join the fun.

Awards

All participants who finish the 20th Warsaw Half Marathon will receive a commemorative medal at the finish line.

Key information about the charity initiative

#IRUNWELL is the largest program in Poland that combines helping others with participating in running events. How does it work?

When registering for the race, participants can choose one of two registration paths: the traditional route or the charity route – #IRUNWELL.

You can choose from a range of available charities – this year there are 13! Descriptions of the organizations are available in the Runner’s Panel and on the initiative’s website – biegamdobrze.pl.

  • Fundraising campaigns of participants who have collected the indicated amount (or exceeded it) will continue until March 31, 2026.
  • As part of the #IRUNWELL campaign, participants who have raised the highest amounts will be honored.
  • The Organizer will recognize one supporter for each organization who, as of
  • March 21, 2026 at 12:00 PM, has collected the highest amount for that organization. This may be a participant of either the 20th Warsaw Half Marathon or the New Balance High Five Race.
  • The ceremony will take place on March 22, 2026 on the main stage of the 20th Warsaw Half Marathon.

The funds raised, after deduction of fees and commissions related to online payments, are distributed as follows:

– 90% of the collected amount is transferred to the account of the selected charitable organization;
– 10% of the collected amount is allocated to the maintenance and development of the #BiegamDobrze campaign and to the statutory purposes of the “Maraton Warszawski” Foundation.
