The “Rak’n’Roll Wygraj Życie” Foundation, thanks to everyone who participated in the #BiegamDobrze campaign, has created a beautiful and, above all, comfortable waiting room in the Oncology Clinic at the University Clinical Centre of the Warsaw Medical University!
In the same clinic, in the day chemotherapy room for several years, modern chemotherapy chairs, also purchased with funds collected in previous editions of the #BiegamDobrze campaign, have been faithfully serving patients.
The first patients are already benefiting from the clinic. This is the best example that your actions have incredible power! Thank you to the runners who participate in the charity run.
Huge thanks to everyone who has been involved in the campaign! If you want to join a group of runners who, together with their loved ones, contribute to the creation of such places, building a better, friendly world, and helping out – check out the charity path when registering for runs. You won’t regret it!
With joy, we announce that Nice To Fit You, a leading player in the meal box industry, is continuing and expanding its collaboration with the “Warsaw Marathon” Foundation. Over the next two years, NTFY will be the official sponsor of our running events, including the September Mini Marathon in Warsaw.
Upcoming Running Events
The first joint event of the 2024 season will be the 18th Nationale-Nederlanden Warsaw Half Marathon, taking place on March 24. After the summer break, Nice To Fit You will appear as the main sponsor of the Warsaw Ten and the 46th Nationale Nederlanden Warsaw Marathon, as well as for the first time as the main sponsor of the Mini Marathon for children and youth.
Shared Commitment to a Healthy Lifestyle
We are proud every time key partners extend and expand their collaboration with us. The past two years have been a period of dynamic development for the Foundation. The expansion of Nice To Fit You’s activities to sponsor children’s races adds even more dynamism to our relationship. This is confirmation not only of the enormous potential of this collaboration but also of the commitment to creating innovative and inspiring projects. The decision to extend the partnership for another two years is an important step for both parties and emphasizes our joint commitment to promoting a healthy lifestyle and a passion for running. We are ready for another run with Nice To Fit You, full of important moments for our participants – says Marek Tronina, President of the “Warsaw Marathon” Foundation.
As stated by Nice To Fit You’s brand manager, Sylwia Ramos Wójcik, the collaboration with the “Warsaw Marathon” Foundation is an important element in the brand’s strategy to support and motivate its customers to engage in physical activity and adopt healthier habits.
We want to encourage not only our customers but also everyone watching us to awaken the taste of a sporting passion and take care of themselves through movement and various sports activities. During the events of the “Warsaw Marathon” Foundation, we will support both professionally trained runners and those engaging in this sport purely as amateurs. Runners have different goals, but the taste of achieved successes is always unique.
Additionally, Nice To Fit You aims to support runners by providing them with well-balanced meals.
Training for a half marathon and subsequent races is best done under the guidance of a professional trainer. However, when you need to balance it with professional work and personal life, there is often a lack of time for adequate nutrition, which is crucial in such preparations. That’s when our meal box with a properly balanced composition and meals becomes a great ally – comments Sylwia Ramos-Wójcik.
Special Promotion for Runners
Furthermore, as part of this collaboration, Nice To Fit You offers a special promotion: with the code “BIEG,” you will receive a 14% discount on meal box orders for a minimum of 14 days. It’s the perfect opportunity to take care of your nutrition and prepare for the upcoming races. The promotion runs until January 26, so don’t miss this unique opportunity!
The Avalon Foundation has joined the partners of our charitable initiative #BiegamDobrze, which supports people with disabilities and chronic illnesses throughout Poland.
Disability does not limit. Thanks to the collaboration with the Avalon Foundation, our events are becoming increasingly tailored to the needs of PwDs (People with Disabilities). By running and raising funds for their activities, you can be part of a very positive change.

Registration has begun for the 46th Nationale-Nederlanden Warsaw Marathon. The event will traditionally take place in the last weekend of September, with the starting point and finish line, just like last year, located in the heart of Warsaw – at Defilad Square. Once again, Nationale-Nederlanden is the title sponsor of the event. The uniqueness of this year’s edition is highlighted by the grand jubilee of Polish sports – the 100th anniversary of the first marathon in Poland. Sign up today, and in September, run and fulfill your dreams!
From history to the present
When on November 2, 1924, in Rembertów, eight daring individuals appeared eager to tackle the royal distance, no one suspected that 100 years later, the marathon would enjoy such popularity in Poland. In Warsaw itself, a tradition was born that moves entire generations. Uninterruptedly since 1979, the last weekend of September in the capital has been a true celebration of running and cheering. The Warsaw Marathon has become a part of the city’s landscape, bringing together fans, amateur athletes from all over Poland, their families, and unleashing emotions that are unforgettable.
This year’s Great Run will take place on September 29. We start at 9:00 from the Palace of Culture and Science. Registration for the run has just begun.
Nationale-Nederlanden as the title sponsor
Both of this year’s events organized by the “Maraton Warszawski” Foundation, just like last year, will take place under the orange umbrella of the Nationale-Nederlanden brand. This year, we will meet at the 18th Nationale-Nederlanden Warsaw Half Marathon and the 46th Nationale-Nederlanden Warsaw Marathon. The company has been actively involved in promoting health among Poles for years.
“Our renewed partnership with the Foundation and serving as the title sponsor is not only a continuation but also an deepening of our mission to promote a healthy lifestyle. Each step in the marathon symbolizes our long-term commitment to health and supporting Poles in taking care of themselves, which is crucial to us. Remember that taking care of oneself is a marathon, not a sprint – long-term thinking is key here,” says Marta Maszewska-Danielewicz, Director of Marketing Communication and Brand at Nationale-Nederlanden. She adds, “During previous editions of the half marathon and marathon, 406 people benefited from free preventive examinations in the mobile medbus. This year, we also plan activities that will contribute to building a healthy and active community.”
2023 delighted organizers
“We must admit that 2023 was extremely successful for the ‘Maraton Warszawski’ Foundation. We returned to pre-pandemic attendance, established and continued highly fruitful collaborations with many partners, including the title sponsor Nationale-Nederlanden, with whom we are pleased to continue our activities this year. We started and finished the marathon under the Palace of Culture and Science, enriching the event with a new competition format called TEAM UP! Europe. This year, we are not slowing down. Running has made a grand comeback: at this moment, we have over 6 thousand registered for the 18th Nationale-Nederlanden Warsaw Half Marathon! In September, we want to surprise everyone by showing how the centenary of the marathon in Poland can bring runners together,” said Marek Tronina, President of the “Maraton Warszawski” Foundation.
#BiegamDobrze – Running for a good cause
As every year, the largest running charity event in Poland, #BiegamDobrze, will accompany the event. Participants can support a chosen foundation by registering through the #BiegamDobrzeroute and running with intention. After registering in the charity mode, a collection begins – simply train and encourage friends to support the “virtual piggy bank.” Upon reaching the minimum amount of 450 Polish zlotys by August 31, 2024, runners will receive a unique, orange race number as a gift, serving as a distinctive mark of Charitable Heroes. Running for a good cause makes the run lighter!
“At Nationale-Nederlanden, we care not only about physical health but also about social well-being. Our support for the #BiegamDobrze initiative is the best proof of that – this year, we will once again contribute additional amounts to the collections that gather the largest sums. Thanks to this initiative, participants have the opportunity to support important charitable goals, enriching the experience of participating in races. Additionally, our employees enthusiastically volunteer during the half marathon and marathon, emphasizing our commitment to social initiatives. We are proud to be part of such important events that bring about real change and inspire action for others,” adds Marta Pokutycka-Mądrala, Press Spokesperson and Director of Corporate Communication at Nationale-Nederlanden.

Year in, year out – Warsaw Half Marathon is the first really spring-like street run in Poland. For many seasons, thousands of runners have populated the capital city in March, to mark another year of distance running. Poland’s biggest half marathon is an opportunity to check your form after the winter training period, or just to rejoice in the sporty beginning of the warmer times. The half marathon edition of Warsaw’s running feast is scheduled for March 24th. Registration is now open!
Spring starts in Warsaw!
The spring running season starts here, in the capital. It’s an established tradition! On 24 March 2024, thousands of runners will hit the streets, united in their ambitions around the half marathon’s course.
Last spring’s numbers – over 10 thousand runners in the main race – augur well for the half marathon vibes. Many runners from around Poland are in, for a taste of the epic tradition. Let’s open the street running season together!
Record appetites
Our runners will choose between the half marathon and the 5k race – depending on individual plans and goals. But we keep our fingers crossed for all participants. Why don’t you also invite friends and family to the cheering zones – let’s make that day a running celebration in the capital!
Last spring’s results were excellent – particularly among female runners, with as many as five women under the previous event’s best. That raises our hopes for some strong competition next March, as well. The elite will surely stage a close contest.
